Rhyme Time is a common drinking game rule in many games like Circle of Death or Kings Cup. Basically what happens here is when someone draws a card telling them to do this they have to think of a clever word that’s hard to rhyme and then the other players take turns in a clockwise order trying to rhyme with the word without repeating what anyone else says.
How to Play Rhyme Time
Once this game starts the player who drew it thinks of a word. It can be any word at all as long as it’s the same language as the other players speak.
Play goes clockwise with players trying to rhyme with the word. Once someone fails they must take a drink and the game is done.
There’s multiple ways a player can fail at this game.
If a player says a rhyme that someone else already used, they lose and must drink.
If a player says a word that everyone can agree doesn’t rhyme with the initial word, they must drink.
If a player takes too long to answer (about 30 seconds), then they fail and must drink.
Challenging the Word
If players don’t like the initial word brought up they can vote to “Challenge” it. This means the player who chose the word must come up with 3 words that rhyme with it. If they can do it then every other player must drink and the game is done. If they can’t they must drink themselves and the game is done.
We hope this guide on how to play rhyme time helps. Usually this game comes down to house rules for things like how long someone can think of a word or if they can challenge their starting word.
