This game is for those who like to live dangerously. Depending on your luck you might end up just taking a few refreshing shots of water or drowning yourself with vodka. Only time will tell. Basically what shot roulette entails is mixing up a bunch of clear liquids and then taking turns shooting them back hoping you don’t end up with the vodka shots. It works with any number of players but you might want to add more shots to the mix if you have more players.
What You’ll Need
For this game you’re going to need a grid of shot glasses. The size of the grid depends on how many players or how long you want to play. We suggest starting off with a 6×6 grid of 36 shot glasses.
Then you’re going to need 3 clear liquids. One is water, One is Vodka and One is any pop that fits the bill. (Such as 7-Up or Ginger Ale, as long as you shake it up to remove the carbonation.
Setting It Up
You’re going to want equal amounts of each liquid. So in a 6×6 grid that would be 12 water shots, 12 7-Up shots and 12 Vodka shots. Then mix them around in the grid. Once they’re mixed get a second player to come in and mix them again. This way nobody should know which is which.
If you want to make things a little harder to identify you could also drop a bit of food coloring into each shot glass.
How To Play Shot Roulette
As one would expect, the goal here is to take a shot and pray you get a good one. Players take turns in a clockwise order simply grabbing and shooting back a shot. What they get is what they get.
Once per game, each player gets 1 “Sniff test”. If they use this they can smell the shot they pick up and decide if they want to put it back or take it.
If you wanted to go a different route, you could always grab a Shot Roulette set and make things a little more exciting.
The Shot Roulette Drinking Game can get a little wild so please make sure to drink responsibly and take a break if you need one. There’s no shame in sitting out a few rounds if you keep getting burned with the vodka shots.
