Unlike most other drinking card games this one doesn’t require you to actually play them. Instead you’ll be throwing them. The Card Throwing drinking game is pretty simple but you’ll want enough space to play it. This game works with any number of people but probably works best in medium sized groups of around 4-8 players.
What You’ll Need
For this game all you need is a deck of cards, a target of some sort to put on the floor like a door mat or large serving bowl, and some drinks.
Card Throwing Drinking Game Rules
First put the target (bowl, mat, whatever) about 5-8 feet away from the players. (You can set it even further if your party thinks they’re hot-shit at throwing cards).
Siphon through the deck and remove every card except Aces, Twos, Threes, Fours, Fives, and a single King. This should leave a deck of 21 cards.
Then everyone sit at the same distance away from the target. Then shuffle the deck place is face down where everyone can reach it.
Players take turn throwing their cards at the target, where one of four things can happen.
- Card lands on the target, face-up. They get to give out drinks equal to the value of the card.
- Card lands on the target, face-down. Nothing happens.
- Card lands missing the target, face-up. The player drinks equal to the value of the card.
- Card lands missing the target, face-down. Nothing happens.
The King: If a player lands the king face up in the target every other player must finish their drink. If they land but not on the target face up they must finish the drink. Once the king lands face up and someone has to finish their drink the game is over.
If the deck is run through without the king landing face up, shuffle all the cards and try again.
Our Card Throwing drinking game is a great alternative for people who just wanna throw stuff and drink some beers.
